Initiatives

Elizabethtown Area Communities That Care’s two primary initiatives are the Communities That Care model and the Drug Free Communities grant. EACTC began in 2000 as a Communities That Care initiative in response to what were perceived as growing adolescent problems in the community. In 2010, we identified the use of alcohol and other drugs by our youth as a serious problem that was having a negative impact on the future of those youth and the larger community. EACTC uses a blend of these two initiatives to address these issues and work toward improving the health and safety of the Elizabethtown area community.
